Since BENCHMARK Adventure Ministries began in 1993,
leadership development has been our underlying purpose.
From the founder to the instructors to the participants,
it is our purpose and hope for everyone involved in any
BENCHMARK event to improve as a leader, to discover
some helpful change that will affect the way they live life,
the way they lead.
Better leadership seeks to live out wisdom that is greater
than merely what is within.
It’s reflected in how our instructors plan events. Leadership
development guides the components of each event
and how our staff is involved. Also, as a participant, you
will have the opportunity to influence the event you are
involved in. Your choices throughout the event may create
an even greater time of growth for everyone involved.
BENCHMARK’s leadership development opportunities will
encourage you to explore what it means to act in another’s
best interest. We will develop your leadership skills by
giving you the opportunity to lead. We will guide you to
improve by reflecting on your good or bad decisions, on
your right or wrong attitudes, and on how your choices
influence others. Leadership development means leading,
then learning through that experience to become a more
effective influence on those around you.
